Regular location tracking (Circle) is designed for long-term sharing with close family or friends. Meetup is a session-based feature for temporary gatherings: you check on people outside your immediate circle without adding anyone as a permanent contact, and all session data auto-deletes when it’s finished.
Nope. Participants only need to tap the invite link or scan the QR code to join a specific Meetup room. No phone number, contact exchange, or permanent friendship is required.
